Young Adult Reading

All 7th graders take a year-long, core English class as well as a semester of Young Adult Reading.  While English 7 focuses on grammar, writing, and a broad survey of literature, YAR concentrates on genre studies and literary analysis.  I teach Gifted YAR, 1st and 2nd periods in the Fall semester.  Early on, students will play a major role in determining the structure and pacing of the class.  It will, no doubt, be a stimulating and satisfying semester!
